It is essential to clean and disinfect the probe in between each use. Before cleaning the probe, make sure the probe is switched off and disconnected from the charger. The cleaning process is the following :
- Remove the gel using lint-free cloth
- Clean the probe’s nose with soapy water until the probe is visibly clean and rinse with water. Be careful, only the probe’s nose can be immersed
- Dry the probe with a lint-free cloth
Visually inspect the probe to ensure all surface are clean. If not, repeat the operation before disinfection. The disinfection process is the following :
- Clean the probe’s nose with soapy water and rinse abundantly with water
- Dry the probe with a lint-free cloth
- Clean the probe with dinsfecting wipes and leave it on for 2 minutes
- Dry at room temperature
- Rinse carefully with a water-soaked lint-free cloth then rinse abundantly with water
- Dry the probe with a lint-free cloth
